Pentatonix

My husband and I love Pentatonix, and even though we weren't able to get great pictures of the concert, I was excited to be able to scrap them. It's rare we get out and do anything exciting.

I used various papers and supplies from my stash for this layout. I just pulled it all together, and chose the papers around the title die cut that I had created just for this page.

I used a sketch from ScrapMuch? to create this page. Laura Whitaker sketches make me happy!

The die cut was created by Stacia Brandt from Dancing Daisy Designs. She is extremely talented, and a wonderful friend. As soon as I told her what I wanted, she made it, sent it to me via e-mail for approval, and shipped it. So wonderful! She can be reached through Facebook if you are interested in seeing more of her work.

Our selfie came out goofy, and not flattering at all, but you can tell that we are happy and having fun. I wouldn't change it for anything!
I mounted the pictures on black cardstock and then inked the edges with Quick Quotes chalk ink in Coconut (white). I love the dreamy effect it gives the edges.

If you look closely at the photo you can see the lettering that the die cut was created to resemble. I think Stacia did an amazing job!
I had these little round plastic doiles in my stash forever! I was thrilled to be able to finally use them.

This was a pretty simple layout for me, but I enjoyed creating it. Thank you for taking a look at it. Please leave me your thoughts, and feel free to join my blog. Thanks!

Lego KidsFest

Good morning everyone! Today I'm revealing my layout for this month's challenge on ScrapStuffz "Inspired by" Challenges

This month we changed things up a bit and we have a wonderful sketch to work with.

Stacia also challenged the Design Team members to use one of her awesome cuts from her shop, ScrapStuffz. After looking through all her cuts I found this Lego KidsFest one she made and knew it would be perfect! Stacia makes these all herself, and can design just about anything you need. And, they are beautifully done. I was so excited when I got my piece to play with.

Look at all those Legos! We had so much fun playing at Lego KidsFest.

See how awesome the die cut is!?! I love it! Instead of the honeycomb in the sketch I used scraps of Lego paper I had in my stash. I cut out the individual bricks and used them around the layout. So much fun!

You still have a few days left to enter this challenge (enter by August 31st), so head on over and get started! The sketch us so much fun to play with. You will also need to include a die cut; either one of Stacia's or one that you create or have. It's time to pull out those cutting machines!

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts on my layout.
