Daddy's Little Girl

I love pictures of my granddaughter. These pictures of her with her daddy are so sweet!

I created this layout for a challenge on the FB group SG Scrap Squad. I loved the sketch that they supplied for the challenge. I used papers and embellishments that have been in my stash for a long time. So much fun!

I used three types of alphas for this title. Two types of Thickers and one type of letter sticker. I used several colors of pens to add detail to the page as well.

The arrows on the page are rub-ons. They are adorable! I also used wood veneer hearts, enamel dots, and enamel hearts to add fun detail to the page. Love!

There is so much happy on this layout. I adore all the sweetness in the pictures. Everything on the page just adds to the sweetness.

Thank you for taking a look at my layout. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Sweet Little Man

I love being able to scrap pictures of my sweet, little man. Even when he's sick he's adorable.

I used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches. Laura Whitaker sketches make me happy!

I also used this layout for a challenge from the FB challenge group SG Scrap Squad. The challenge was "Build Your Own Super Bowl Sub Layout". I used patterned paper and cardstock for the "bun", a punch and stencil for the "meat", enamel dots, twine, wood veneer, buttons, and letter stickers for the "extras", and ink and a pen for the "dipping sauce". Lots of fun!!

And last, I used this layout Paper Issues February Take Five Challenge. To fulfill this challenge I used the color red, the color pink, a heart, patterned paper, a tag, cardstock, ink, and something wood grain. I had a great time fitting it all in!

I used lots of layers in this layout. I used different color pens to doodle on all the pieces of paper I used to create the layers. I used these adorable crochet hearts around the layout. Love!

I used three types of alphas on this page. They complete this adorable embellishment cluster. The wooden button has been in my stash forever. It worked perfectly for this page.

I used a stencil and some red Quick Quotes chalk ink to make the little red dots on the page. Lots of fun!

Thanks for taking a look at my page. I appreciate your time. Please leave me some blog love and let me know your thoughts.

Best Friends Forever

It's rare that my best friend, Michelle, and I get pictures taken together. As soon as I saw these, I knew I'd be scrapping them. It still took me a couple years to get them on a page though. Go figure!

I used various papers and embellishments from past Noel Mignon kits, and from my stash. I had fun playing with this page. I had a sketch originally, but I didn't follow it much, so it's kind of my own creation. I did complete this page for a challenge for the Facebook Group SG Scrap Squad. I had a great time creating it.

I love this background paper. Michelle and I have been best friends for the past 21 years. I love her like my sister; to the stars and back!
I used Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Primrose to add large drops and some speckles to this page. Lots of fun!

This heart clip was the perfect accent. The little blue scallop ribbon was some of my favorite ribbon ever. It was self-adhesive, and I had just a tiny bit left. I was able to put some above and some below the pictures, but it looks like a full strip of ribbon. I love saving on my supplies! I layers lots of patterned papers because it's one of my favorite things to do, and as usual, I doodled on nearly ever scrap on the page.

I added my journaling to the card in the envelope under the pictures. That way it's still there, but it's not the primary focus of the page. I love this little flair embellishment cluster!

Thickers are some of my favorite supplies. I love these new phrase Thickers. I used phrases from two separate packs to make the title. Perfect!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my page. Please leave me some blog love and let me know your thoughts. Thank you!

Best Story

This layout features my daughter and her now husband. This picture was taken the night they got engaged. I used the journaling tag to write a little bit of the story. I love how this layout came together!

I used a sketch from ScrapMuch? for this layout. Laura Whitaker sketches make me happy!
I used my Noel Mignon kit for this layout; as usual. The colors are perfect together.

I used a set of Thickers for the title. The little word card is from Heidi Swapp.
I used lots of layers of patterned papers for this page. I inked all the edges with gold ink, and doodled around each edge with a gold Uniball pen.

I love all these layers! I added some circles (or half-circles) with a black Zig Writer. I also did my journaling with the same pen.

I added the yellow bow to pull out the yellow in the pattern paper and the butterfly. It finished the page nicely. I love this whole page so much!!

Thank you for taking a look at my page. I appreciate your time. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

My Girls

My daughter and granddaughter make me so happy. I love seeing my daughter in this new little face. It's amazing watching your grandchildren grow. So much fun!

I used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches for this layout. Laura Whitaker sketches are so much fun! I used my Noel Mignon kit for most of this page, but also pulled a few things from my stash.

I love these gold Thickers! I wish I had bought a few packets when I found them, but unfortunately, I didn't. I was so happy I had enough to make this title. I used my handwriting on this page because I know that one day my kids and grandkids will want to see it. I try to use it once in awhile instead of typing my journaling.

I love the colors on this page! I've been wanting to use these papers, and they were perfect for this picture. I used Heidi Swapp Color mist for the splatter and the rings on this page. For the teal splatter I tapped the stem of the spray applicator to disperse the spray. For the rings I put some primrose spray on a plate and put the end of a cup into it. I placed it on several areas of the page.

These flowers have been in my stash for a very long time. I'm so happy to be able to finally use them. They were perfect for this page! Everything about this page makes me happy.

Thank you for looking at my layout. Please leave me some blog love and let me know your thoughts.

Merry Christmas

I'm finally getting around to scrapping some old Christmas pictures. Maybe next year I'll get this year done. Maybe. I love scrapbooking Christmas, but I take so many pictures that sometimes it's difficult to just scrap a few. I usually scrap the best shots, and then use pocket pages for the rest. I love these two pictures!

I used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches for this layout. I love Laura Whitaker's sketches. I turned the sketch on it's side and played around with the layout just a bit. I also used this layout for a challenge from a Facebook page called My Scraps & More Challenges and Contests. The challenge was to use something shiny. The red stars on the star paper shine.

I love this little chipboard Santa. He needed to be on this page. I used lots of layers and embellishments to add detail to the layout; chipboard, Thickers, sequins, enamel dots, tags, Color Shine, flare...it's all here!

I used two different alphas for this title. I love to use as many alphas as possible. I also typed my journaling and cut it into strips. It adds to the layout this way.

I inked the edges of my papers in red and green inks. I used a bright red Uniball pen to doodle around the edges. The spray on the page is Heidi Swapp Color Shine.

I hope you enjoyed my layout. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

'Baba' Time

My granddaughter, Meila, is absolutely adorable! Every time she comes to our house she heads to the bathroom and asks to take a 'Baba'; bath. She loves her baths! I had to snap these adorable pictures of her enjoying one of her favorite past times.

I used a sketch from ScrapMuch? for this layout. This is one of my favorite challenge sites, and I try to do their challenges monthly if I possibly can. As usual, this sketch was done by Laura Whitaker. I love her sketches!

I used my Noel Mignon kit for this layout; as usual. I love her kits! The banner was in my stash and has been waiting for me to use it. I adore this little tulle flower. I knew I had to use it on this page.

Don't you just love the look on Little Miss Meila's face? She's such a cute little stinker.

I used layers of patterned papers for this page. I like to be able to use different patterns when I can. They add interest in an otherwise simple layout. I used blue glitter Thickers for the title. These crochet hearts have been in my stash for awhile too. They were perfect for adding that girly touch to the page.

I try to use my own handwriting on my pages once in awhile. I'm not a huge fan of my handwriting, but I know it will be special to my children at some point. I searched all through my stash for this perfect journaling card and nearly jumped for joy when I located it. It's the little things some days.

I hope you enjoyed looking over my layout. Please let me know your thoughts. While you're here, please join my blog. I'd love to have you as a new member! Thanks.

So Awesome

Oh man, I love this little face! This is my adorable son, William. How cute is he? He's ten-years-old, but he still loves to spend time with me cuddling and talking. I adore him so much! I took this picture of him a few months ago. I love the little freckles that you can see across the bridge of his nose. Too cute!

I created this layout for a challenge from The Studio Challenges. I loved the simple sketch that allowed me some freedom, yet gave some great guidelines.

I used Echo Parks Jack and Jill Boy collection for this layout. I love the oranges and blues together. I used what looks like several layers of paper, but really only used two full layers, and then used little pieces of paper around the edges. I inked all the edges with Quick Quotes chalk ink in Orange Slice. I used a white Uniball pen to outline some of the layers, and a Zig Writer in navy for some others. Lots of little details in this simple layout. I used a set of Thickers with blue glitter. Fun!

I used Heidi Swapp Color Shine in both navy and peach for this page. I took the cap off and just tapped it to disperse the ink o the page. I used different circle embellishments from the Jack and Jill line to add fun elements to the page. I love how simple this page is. It allows my son's adorable face to be the star of the page. Perfect!

Thank you for looking at my layout. Please leave me some blog love and let me know your thoughts. I would love to have you become a member of my blog while you're here. I always love having more guests visit. Thanks!

Christmas Clean-Up

I'm loving finding these older Christmas pictures. These pictures of my son cleaning up the pine needles from our Christmas tree were from 2009. He would have been five. Such a cute little man!

I created this layout for a challenge from a Facebook group called Sketchy Board Challenge. Each month they post a sketch and some inspiration. I don't always get a chance to participate, but I loved this months sketch. I knew I had the pictures that I wanted for it.

I used my Noel Mignon kit for this layout. I love her kits! The colors in the paper were just what I was looking for. I had this chipboard 'Christmas' in my stash for awhile. I painted it green, and then used some Ultra Thick Embossing Powder to add some shine and depth to it.

After painting it I stamped it with a Versa Mark stamp to get the embossing powder to stick.

After heating it up, it melts and looks like this. I did the process twice to give it lots of shine.

This is the embossing powder I use. I found it at a scrapbooking show a few years ago. It's a big bottle, and it will last forever!

I framed the pictures with a Kelly Green cardstock to help them standout on the vanilla paper. The green went perfectly with the green and teal plaid paper.

I love typing my journaling in strips. It makes the journaling part of the design instead of detracting from it.

I used a dropper and some Mr. Huey's color mist in 'Pickle' to create these splats of color on the page. Sometimes I have problems getting the splats to go just right, but these turned out perfect!

I used my sewing machine to add stitching to a few places on the page. After that, I attached  this adorable snowflake clip to the page by hand sewing it on. I added the title over the top of the stitching. If you look closely you can see some teal washi tape under the word 'Christmas'. I love all these layers!

Here's another look at the layers of goodness. I also used snowflake sequins and enamel dots to add detail to the page.

Thanks for taking a look at my layout. Please leave me some blog love and let me know your thoughts.

The Stockings Were Hung on the Chimney with Care

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We had a great time here at our house. I was able to spend many days scrapbooking, which has made me very happy and relaxed. This is just one of many layouts I completed over the last week or so. So much fun!!

I created this layout for a challenge in a Facebook group called My Scraps and More Challenges and Contests. The challenge was to use some of the words from The Night Before Christmas poem in a layout. I knew I had the perfect picture for this challenge! I used pieces from my Noel Mignon kit, along with a few other things around my stash.

I love using multiple alphas on my layouts. For this one I used three different types. The cursive letters are Thickers with various words in the set. The word Stockings was made from a beautiful thick, shiny, gold Thicker set. I also used little block letters for the rest of the title. I love it!

To create the background I used a makeup sponge to spread some gold Mr. Huey's Gold spray. I then used a red Fabre Castille Gelato to add bits of red to it. Last, I stamped some gold snowflakes in various places. It turned out perfect!

I love this little embellishment cluster. Anything Christmas makes me happy. This cluster just screams Christmas.

Here you can see the shine in the background. I used sequins and enamel dots to add even more detail to this simple layout.

Thank you for taking a look at my layout. Please leave me some blog love and let me know your thoughts.

Believe

Today I scrapped more Christmas. Yay!

I used a Laura Whitaker sketch from Stuck?! Sketches. I love her sketches!

I used papers from my Noel Mignon Kit and my stash. I love all the layers and patterns. I used some Jim Holtz Distress Paint to create these paint circles. I love them!

These gold Thickers make me happy! I love how shiny they are. I used a gold, shimmery twine for this bow. Adorable! And, I always love adding flair when I can.

Here is a closer look at the little embellishment cluster. So cute!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my layout. Please leave me some blog love and let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
