Adventure

I love scrapping pictures of my daughter and her family. These pictures are of my daughter, her husband, and my granddaughter at the park. So sweet!

Most of the papers for this page came from the Echo Park Hugs &Kisses collection. I love the pinks and reds!
I used a sketch from Sketch~N~Scrap for this layout. I changed it up a bit and added an extra picture.

I love using flair on my on my pages. This piece of flair has been in my stash for awhile. I'm glad I was able to use it. I also used gold rub-ons from Jubilee all over the page. Lots of fun to work with!

I thought about adding mist, or doodles to this white space, but in the end I decided to leave the white to give the eyes a break; a resting place. I used gold ink to edge all my papers, and I also used it to stamp the date in the page.

I adore these little crochet hearts. So cute! I also added a gold rub-on heart, some little confetti hearts, and some gold enamel hearts. Lots of fun in a little corner of the page!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my page. Please leave me some blog love and let me know your thoughts. If you can, please join my blog as well. Thanks!

Cupcake!

I love scrapping pictures of my daughter, Crystyl, and my granddaughter, Meila. They are both just adorable!

I used papers and embellishments from my past Noel Mignon kits. I adore her kits! To create this page I used a sketch from ScrapMuch? to create this page. It's another adorable Laura Whitaker sketch. My favorite! Due to my busy life, I didn't get this page submitted to ScrapMuch? in time for the challenge deadline, but that's okay, I adore this page!

This paper was perfect for this layout. I love the little blocks of happy thoughts. I used a pink ZigWriter pen to write some quick journaling, and to doodle on the page. This little wood veneer '&' has been in my stash for awhile. I'm so happy I was finally able to use it!

Aren't those girls adorable? I used pink, glitter Thickers for the title. I had these crochet hearts in my stash and had to use them on this page. They are perfect!

The heart background paper is exactly what I wanted for this page. I love the soft pink with the black and grey accents.

Thanks for taking a look at my layout. Please leave me your thoughts, and if you can, please join my blog.

Dinner Time

Good afternoon! This is my last layout that I completed back in May. It's nice to finally get it posted!!

These are pictures of my darling granddaughter, Meila, having dinner. She was so adorably chubby!

I used a sketch from ScrapMuch? for this layout. I also used my Noel Mignon kit for the paper and embellishments.

I loved this little mason jar clip the moment I saw it. So cute! I hand sew these on my pages to get them to stay in place. I find that works better than adhesive. I added the little sparkly enamel dot in the heart. I don't normally use many bows, but this page called for one. So cute!

Meila really gets into her food. I love this series of pictures. I added lots of layers of patterned paper to show these pictures off. I kept the most distracting patterns farther from the pictures.

These pink glitter Thickers are perfectly "girly". I added parts of circles at the top and bottom of the page. These help offset the squares on the page. I love using flair and other embellishments to draw the eye to things I want to be seen.

Thank you for looking at my layout. Please leave me some blog love and let me know your thoughts.

You Make Me Happy!

I fell in love with this picture the moment I saw it. My daughter takes awesome Selfies! And my granddaughter....I adore that toothy grin. So sweet!

I used a sketch from Stick It Down to create this layout. I love a simple sketch that I can add to and make my own. I used the Balboa kit from Noel Mignon for this layout. I love all e bright colors. This was a fun page to make.

See those little teeth? So adorable!

I fussy cut the hearts from another paper and then outlined them with a pink pen. The sequins were from my stash. I like to add them for a bit of shine.

These Thickers are bright and glittery; perfect for a girl page. All of this just makes me happy!

Thank you for looking over my layout. Please join my blog and leave me some comments. I'd love to know what you think of my "work".

Easter Bunny Visit

This picture is 19 years old and I just finally scrapped it! 19 years? How did that happen? This was my daughters first visit to the Easter Bunny, and honestly, the only successful visit. Every year after this she would run in terror from the Easter Bunny, and we eventually stopped trying. Typical kid. :)

I had a lot of fun with this layout. The picture was an old Polaroid, so the Heidi Swapp frame that came in this month's Noel Mignon kit, Carousel, was perfect to cover up the standard Polaroid frame. I just cut the excess off if the photo and it worked great! I loved the retro look of the papers, they worked perfect with the older photo. The Jenni Bowlin sequins, mini flair, wooden nickel, cork arrows, and sheer hearts all make it a current layout, though. This kit and layout just make me happy!

My daughter, Crystyl, looks just like her daughter, Meila!

I love these glitter Thickers! The clusters of embellishments are just sweet.

I rarely use my own handwriting on my layouts, but it felt right for this layout.

I used a sketch from My Scraps and More Sketches for this layout. I adore the simple deign that allowed me to play and have fun.

Lasting Memories Reveal: She Loves Outside

This is my last reveal as a Lasting Memories guest designer. But, the exciting news is that I have officially been asked to join the design team! I am excited beyond measure!! So, for my official guest designer layout, for the Earth Day challenge, here is my layout about by beautiful granddaughter spending time outside.

Isn't she adorable!?! She absolutely loves when she gets to play outside. She just recently started walking, so walking in the grass is new and exciting for her. She found my garden chair and managed to get up in it. She's so tiny! These pictures were taken on one of our rare rain-free Spring days (seriously, we've had over 19" of rain since February!) in the Pacific Northwest. It also happened to be two-days before Earth Day. It was the perfect opportunity to be outside.

I just got my new Noel Mignon kit, Carousel, today. I fell in live immediately and knew I HAD to use it right away! The colors were perfect!

See that glitter? I cut out strips of paper, rounded the corners, then ran them through my Xyron sticker maker. I then covered the adhesive with the American Crafts Cotton Candy WOW! Glitter that came in the kit. It was perfect for adding that pop. I also used some Heidi Swapp embellishments from her new Dreamy collection that came with the kit. I love the sheer look of them!

Whenever I use a lot of straight lines I also like to add circles to soften the look. This doily was perfect! And those sequins!?! Those were in the kit as well...made by Jenni Bowlin. I must get more of those!

And this little cluster of embellishments just had to happen. The sequins, sheer hears, wire sun and heart, the 'Cute' sunburst, and the little tiny flair that says Busy Being Happy...I love it all! I also used a few other little things from my stash, such as some of the letter stickers and the little black tags, simply because they all worked so well.

And, last but not least, I used a sketch challenge for this layout. Creative Scrappers is having a
birthday challenge. They have supplied 12 sketches for you to play with. Simply pick the one (or
more) that you want to play with, create your layout and enter to win. What fun!

I hope you all have enjoyed my layouts as a guest designer for Lasting Memories for the month of April. I've had a blast and I can't wait to start my new adventure as a permanent member of the team! Head on over and take on the Earth Day challenge yourself.
