My Sweet Boy

I created this layout about my adorable son using a sketch #69 from http://myscrapsandmoresketches.blogspot.com

I love all the layers! I adore using sketches as a starting point and putting my own spin on it. For me, that means banners. I love banners! And lots of patterns. I also used this month's kit, The Wishing Well kit, from www.noelmignon.com. I love Noel's kits! I added some blue/teal to "boy" it up a bit. I'm looking forward to using more of Scraps and More's sketches!

Family Time

I love getting tons of pictures on one layout. I was able to use up some scrap papers for this page, and use some embellishments from my stash. The doodling really adds to the page. It's one of my favorite effects!

One Perfect Day

I love banners, and I love chalkboard papers. Put them together and I'm a goner! Add some adorable pictures of my son and I'm in love! I think what makes this layout stand out is the bold patterned papers I used together. Somehow they all work. I also love the pops of contrasting color. I love playing with color!

Funny Girl

I used some of the last papers I had in a kit to make this page. I love the chalkboard effect, but wasn't sure what to do with this paper until I came across these pictures of my daughter back in 2008. A few scrap layers, some white doilies, a white pen, Quick Quotes chalk ink, and some little pink flowers....voila! I love how it showcases the pictures.

Love

I LOVE this layout! I made the background using scraps. I cut 1x3 inch strips of various papers, inked the edges, and adhered them in a herringbone pattern. The picture of my daughter and my granddaughter was perfect for this. I loved being able to add the pink in. It all makes me happy!

Playing with Croquet

I love creating two-page layouts; especially when I can get 12 pictures on them! I used a sketch for this design, and it all fell together nicely. I didn't want to add a bunch of distracting embellishments, so I simple added some small wooden circles, which I doodled on, to the sides. I love being able to capture this family time in an adorable layout.

My Sweet Boy - I Love You

It's rare that I include myself in my layouts, but I loved these pictures of me with my little boy. It's hard to believe these pictures were taken in 2008! Time flies so quickly.

I created this layout using items from my stash. Both patterned papers had been hanging around for years. I was happy to be able to finally use them. The banner just came to be as I was searching for an embellishment in the corner. Now it's one of my favorite things on the layout. It's amazing what happens when you play.

My Sweet, Sweet Baby Girl

I love being able to put together layouts of my amazing daughter, but it's not always easy. She tends to hide from the camera every chance she gets. This day was an exception and I got a few good pictures.

I made this page using papers from Noel Mignon's The Book of Love kit. I love the colors, and how versatile her kits are. I used a white Signo pen for the accents around the page.

Love

I adore this picture! My daughter took it of herself and her daughter. The looks on their faces says it all; true mother and daughter love. I couldn't resist scrapping it. I wanted something soft and girly, and also something fairly simple. I wanted the picture to really stand out. I managed to use random products from my stash, and a few things from some kits I had on hand. I really love the way it turned out.

Building Blocks

This is another layout I did using the "selfie kit" I created using products from my stash. I swear that if I didn't run out of adhesive I really wouldn't need to buy anything for years; I have tons of product! It's fun when I finally see all my cute things being used.

This double-page layout was created using a sketch from one of my Facebook groups. I love being challenged with layout ideas. This one spoke to me because of the linear layout, but I went a bit out of my comfort zone and splattered it with ink. Messy, but lots of fun! I really like how it turned out.

Smile

I created a "selfie" kit using products from my own stash, and this was the first page I made out of it. I wanted a kit that had "boy" colors, but also something that was playful. I think I found the right combination. The colors worked perfect for these adorable pictures of my son. I still haven't put journaling on this layout, but that's not unusual. I usually go back months late to add that final touch. Maybe I'll get the story on this one sooner...we'll see.

Best Friends Forever

I used papers and embellishments from The Book of Love kit from www.noelmignon.com to create this page. I love Noel's kits! The papers were perfect for the feeling I wanted to share with these pictures.
My daughter loved this horse, Hunter. He wasn't even her's, but that didn't matter; as far as she was concerned, Hunter was her best friend. It really was true love.

I Love You More!

This morning when I woke up my dear little boy was right there to tell me how much he loves me. Luckily, I had my iPad handy and he allowed me to take some pictures. I loved being able to catch this sincere moment of ours. These times with him are my favorite. We bounce, "I love you more!" back and forth to each other until we end in giggling hugs. I wouldn't trade these moments together for anything!

I created this page using a few products from Noel Mignon's Book of Love kit, and some Crate Paper 6x6 pages as well. I love being able to use the pink without making the page "girly".
