I'm so excited for my second reveal as a guest design team member for Lasting Memories Layout Challenges. I've been having a blast playing with the challenges. This week's challenge is "It's the little things in life that matter the most!" Scrap about the small momments in time or the little things that you want to remember in years to come.
I knew I had the perfect pictures for this theme. So, here is the layout I created:
See? Perfect! This was "Nerd Day" at my son's s school. He was a 2nd grader and was thrilled to participate. He always makes me smile, but this day I just couldn't help but be a bit giddy. He was so excited, and so happy. My heart is happy just looking at the pictures.
I used cardstock from my stash, and scraps from this month's Noel Mignon Social Butterfly kit. I love the colors in this kit!
Flair makes me happy! This flair was perfect. Nothing like nerd glasses. And enamel dots make me giddy! They add that little bit of pop to my pages. And those Thickers?!? Black, chunky, and glitter. You can't go wrong!
I like breaking my journaling up into strips. It mimicked the layout nicely. I also used an acetate sheet on the layout. It was full of "nerd" icons.
The red letter stickers needed to stand out a bit, so I traced them with an ebony colored pen. I love doodling, but this made me a bit nervous. I love the way it turned out!
I hope you enjoy seeing my layout. Head on over to Lasting Memories to play along with us for this week's challenge.
