Say Cheese!

It's been a long time since I've had a chance to scrapbook. This time of year, with two teachers in the house, it's really difficult to get any relaxing time in. I was thrilled to be able to be creative this past weekend.

I used my new Noel Mignon Kit, Two for Tea. Such fun things to play with.

This cluster of embellishments is so much fun. I love all the layers and little details.

This set of Thickers are fun. They were perfect for the layout.

These little cork hearts add just the right detail to the page. I love the simplicity of them.

I'm normally not a fan of gold, but this kit is full if it. The more I used it, the more I liked it. Lots of fun!

I used Sketch #266 from Creative Scrappers for this LO. Unfortunately I didn't get it submitted in time for the challenge. Oh well, I had fun making it!

My 3rd Grader

Good morning everyone! It's time for my September reveal for Scrapstuffz "Inspired By" Challenge . This month Stacia has challenged with two different inspirational photos to play with. Being a teacher, this is my busy time of year, so I only used one. I'll try and play with the other one later.

When I saw the picture of school supplies, my son's school picture was the first thing that came to mind. I fell in love with this picture, and it was fun to finally get a chance to scrap it.

Nothing says back to school like alphas. I've been waiting to use this alpha paper, and this was the perfect picture for it. I also loved the little notecard that looks like it was torn from a spiral bound notepad. So cute and appropriate.

Brads and a flair make this a nice little corner of embellishments.

These Thickers have graph lines on them. They work perfect with the layout.

I used Sketch #89 from Let's Capture Our Memories for this layout.

Head in over to ScrapStuffz "Inspired By" Challenges to play along. You have until the end of the month. Don't forget to let us know what inspired in the photo. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts here.

Feeding Time

Awwwww...I adore this picture! This was my daughter in 1999; she was five. She's now twenty, and even though she's now beautiful, I love pictures of her at this age.

We try to go to the zoo every summer. Crystyl loved the goats. She had to feed them whenever we went. For this layout I chose to use just one picture because it was all that was needed. I used lots of layers of papers that I had in my stash, and embellishments that had been sitting around for awhile. For once, I didn't use a sketch. I just created as I went. It was a little nerve racking, and freeing at the same time. Lots of fun!

This little word phrase is from Heidi Swapp. I love her embellishments! The little flowers are from her same line.

I'm learning to love to write on my layouts. It's taken me awhile, but I'm starting to be less critical of my handwriting. I think it's important to write on my layouts so my children will see that piece of me.

These corrugated Thickers are awesome! I love the sweet detail they add to the layout.

Thanks for checking out my layout. Please let me know what you think.

Loving the Veggie Soup

I had so much fun making this layout; and it just seemed to go together so quick! The pictures are just adorable, and I love the colors of the papers.

The pictures with the bowl on my sons face are my favorite! He really liked the soup.

I only needed a little bit of journaling. The title and pictures spoke for themselves. I absolutely love my son's little face!

Flags, banners, enamel dots, and brads...oh my! Layered right under yellow glitter Thickers....wow! This corner just makes me happy.

I added this little cluster of embellishments to draw your eye to these adorable little photos. Plus, I just love groupings of embellishments.

Thanks for looking at my blog. Please leave me a little love and let me know what you think. Thank you!

Love You Always

This layout was inspired by a Facebook friend who found a Pinterest layout and challenged me to scraplift it. I'm so glad she did, because this layout was fun!

These are pictures of my husband reading to our granddaughter for the first time. This was a very special time for him (I'm pretty sure he cried). I love that I was able to capture it on film.

This little grouping of flags and embellishments draws the eye to the photos. I love all the happy colors, too!

The title is made from Heidi Swapp phrases. I normally use chunky letters for titles, but I really liked the simple, pretty words.

I wanted to frame out both pictures, but I didn't want two glitter frames. So, I created a frame out of pink polka dot paper for the second photo. I love the effect.

Thank you so much for looking at my layout. Please leave me some feedback, and become a blog follower so you can see more of my work as I update my page. Thanks!

Darling

Scrapping pictures of my daughter and granddaughter makes me happy. They are so adorable! Add in beautiful paper and embellishments and I'm in love!

I created this layout weeks ago, but just finally got a chance to post it. I love the simplicity of it, but that it has such beautiful paper from my Noel Mignon kit.

Thickers are one of my favorite scrapping embellishments. I love these phrase Thickers!

One of my favorite things about this layout is that my dad made these heart embellishments for me. I showed him a few that I had in a kit and he went downstairs for about five minutes, came back up, and handed me about thirty hearts in different styles. How awesome!

Seem aren't these girls adorable? And the papers? Yummy!

Thank you for taking a look at my layout. I'd appreciate any feedback you would like to leave. Thanks!

Pup Pup!

Good afternoon everyone! It's been a long time since I posted here on my blog. The life of a school teacher in late August and Early September is crazy! Today I'm posting some layouts that I did while on vacation in early August. It's nice to finally get a chance to show them off.

I love pictures of my son when he was so little. Such a cutie! My dad gave William this stuffed dog, and right away he named him Pup Pup.

These corrugated Thickers are so much fun! I used a little cluster of enamel dots, wooden hearts and brads to draw attention to the title.

These little accent cards worked perfect with the layout. Again, I added more embellishments clusters. They really draw the eye to the pictures.

Thank you for checking out my layout. Please leave me a little love and let me know what you think. Thanks!
