Sweet Dreams

I'm having fun going through my son's old photos and finally scrapping them. It's good to remember how little and adorable he was.

I used one of my Noel Mignon kits for this layout. The papers were from the summer kit. It was fun to be able to use them for non summer pictures. I added embellishments from my stash, white mist from Dyllusions, white chalk ink from Quick Quotes, and a white Signo pen for accents.

The sketch I used for this layout is from Stuck?! Sketches. It's another Laura Whitaker sketch, which I love! Her sketches allow people to have some guidelines without being stuck (see what I did there?) within a set of parameters. I love her sketches!

I used a dropper to add some big drops of the Dyllusions white ink to the page. The dropper makes it easier to control the ink and the splashes.

I love using flair as embellishments. To create these subtle circles I freehand drew them with a glue pen, then sprinkled clear embossing powder over them. I like the effect a lot.

These Thickers are so much fun! The stitching effect inspired the "stitching" I added to the page with the white pen. I wish I had another set of these Thickers!

I used the last of my Jillibean buttons on this layout. I adore them! I may have to get some more. Again, I created a subtle circle with glue and embossing powder.

Thank you for looking at my layout. Please leave me some blog love and let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Playing With the Birds

Good evening everyone! Tonight I'm revealing my layout for Lasting Memories 'Go Wild with Animals' challenge. The challenge was issued last week, but I've been so busy lately that I just couldn't get it done. Better late than never!

It's been a long time since I've done a double-page LO. I had too many pictures for a single-page, and I found a great sketch from Scrapbook Challenges (#396). These pictures are from 1999, so they've been hanging around just waiting for me to scrap them for awhile. This challenge was perfect! I also just got my Noel Mignon kit for June, and it had these great teal and lime papers in it. They were perfect for the pictures. I love orange with these colors, so I couldn't resist adding a splash of orange.

I used overlays on most of my photos. They helped to hide the unwanted backgrounds, and added really cute detail.

Aren't those colors yummy? I also added the smashed pennies that we made at the Oregon Zoo. I love adding souvenirs when I can.

These enable buttons from Jillibean Soup are awesome! I love the details they add. This cute wood veneer arrow was in the Noel Mignon kit. Love it!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my LO. Head on over to Lasting Memories and join us in this fun challenge. You have until the end of the month, so get those pictures together and start creating. I can't wait to see what you make.
