Together is Where I Always Want to Be

I'm in love with this layout. It's rare that my husband and I get pictures, but we took a couple small trips last year and finally had some time together. I love getting a chance to scrap us!

I used various papers and embellishments from past Noel Mignon kits for this page. I created the page for a sketch challenge on the Facebook Group page SG Scrap Squad. I had tons of fun creating it!

Okay...I see the mistake in the title now. How did I not see the double "want" when I made the page? Who knows?!? The white alphas that spell Want have now been removed. I didn't feel like taking the photos again, to be honest, so just image it's gone.

I used a set of phrase Thickers for the title, along with three different types of alphas. I love mixing alphas on layouts!

I added gold accents to the page to break up the blues and teals. I adore this acetate strip of gold arrows that I stitched down with my sewing machine. I pop-dotted the gold hearts on the page to give them dimension.

I love these colors! Blues, teals and whites are my colors. Beautiful! The doodling just kind of happened as I went. The page called for lots of straight lines, so I went with it. I also used Dyllusions White Spray Mist to add accents to the page.

I hand wrote my journaling on this little note card. I'm not always fond of my handwriting, but I think it's important to be on my pages now and again.

And, the two of us "together", even if we are in separate pictures. I love how happy and relaxed we look.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my layout. Please let me know your thoughts, and join my blog if you can. Thanks!

Sweet Miss Meila

Pictures of my sweet granddaughter are some of my favorite things to scrapbook. How adorable is this little girl? I just can't resist her!

I used bits and pieces from past Noel Mignon kits for this layout. I picked the papers and colors to match Meila's outfit in the picture. Pink and Black together are so much fun! I created this page for a challenge on a FB group SG Scrap Squad. The challenge was to scraplift a beautiful layout by another talented scrapbooker. I loved her layout and this is what I made from her inspiration.

I could not resist pairing silver with all this pink and black. This bow has been calling to me for a long time, and it was finally time to use it! I paired it with other silver accents throughout the page, including this adorable little heart stickers.

I also used silver Thickers for the title. Silver is my favorite metallic color, so I was happy to get to play with it. I love using mist on my pages. I've just started being brave enough to put large drops on my page. I like how the white Dyllusions Color Mist contrasted with the black cardstock. In this picture you can see some of the luscious layers of patterned paper that I used. It was so much fun to put them all together. I try to doodle on my pages, and on this page I used black, white, and pink pens.

These little silver heart stickers were too adorable to pass up! I also used enamel dots and hearts to round out the embellishments.

I found this little silver heart clip in my stash and just threw it on the corner of the picture. Such a good detail to add! I also used a piece of flair that I found in my ever growing flair collection.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my layout as much as I enjoyed creating it. Please leave me your thoughts, and join my blog if you can. Thank you!

Cherish

I adore this picture of my husband and our son! I knew the layout needed to be special. I absolutely love the way it turned out!!

I used Sketch #119 from Let's Capture Our Memories for this page. I loved the layers and the simple potential. I hunted for supplies through my stash for this layout. I used a simple piece of gray cardstock, and gave it a few spritz and splats of Dylussions white misting ink. I ended up ironing the paper afterward to help it to lay a bit more flat. It didn't come out perfectly flat, but it was better. I hunted for all sorts of buttons and such from different collections I had laying around. I love how it all came together.

I looked for any button, chipboard, or wooden nickel with the mint/aqua and gray color to them. Just a little bit of gray baker's twine made the embellishments come together.

I used a phrase from a set of foam Thickers that I had in my stash. I worked perfectly with this page. I typed and printed my journaling, and cut it into strips. I love showcasing my journaling this way.

I also get to use this layout for a challenge from Red Carpet Studio. I love when my layouts fit for multiple challenges! RCS challenge #98 was inspired by the move Overboard, which is one of my most favorite movies! The challenge was to use a masculine and a feminine element on your page. My masculine element is the dark gray background and the black letters. The feminine element is the soft mint/teal colors in the papers and embellishments, and the little bow of baker's twine.

Thank you for taking a look at my layout. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed creating it. Please leave me your thoughts. Thanks!

You & Me Together

More pictures of my beautiful son! I love them! These pictures of my son were taken when he was only a month old. He had me wrapped around his fingers from the beginning. He's definitely momma's boy.

I used papers from left-over Noel Mignon kits that I had on hand. All I needed was scraps and a piece of cardstock. I also used stickers from the kit. The hearts are something I had in my stash.

I used a sketch challenge from Sketch~N~Scrap for this layout. The challenge was not only a sketch, but it had a twist of using a Mask as well. The sketch was easy, but I wasn't sure about the mask as I'm not a mixed-media type of person. Then I remembered that I had photo overlays in my stash. I found the perfect overlay that made the perfect title. I adore the way it worked out!

I love these little wooden hearts. I'll be sad when I don't have anymore in my stash. The "XOXO" in the corner is a rub-on. I used a dropper to drop white Dyllusion ink on the page. I love the splatter effects.

I used gold Thickers to complete the title. To accent around the layout I used a brown pen to add doodles. I doodle on most of my layouts. I also inked the edges of everything with Java Quick Quotes Chalk Ink. Ink is also something I use on most every page I do.

Isn't that face adorable? I love that I was able to use small scraps to create such a cute layout. Scrapbooking is so much fun!

Thank you for looking at my layout. Please leave some blog love and let me know your thoughts.

Sweet Dreams

I'm having fun going through my son's old photos and finally scrapping them. It's good to remember how little and adorable he was.

I used one of my Noel Mignon kits for this layout. The papers were from the summer kit. It was fun to be able to use them for non summer pictures. I added embellishments from my stash, white mist from Dyllusions, white chalk ink from Quick Quotes, and a white Signo pen for accents.

The sketch I used for this layout is from Stuck?! Sketches. It's another Laura Whitaker sketch, which I love! Her sketches allow people to have some guidelines without being stuck (see what I did there?) within a set of parameters. I love her sketches!

I used a dropper to add some big drops of the Dyllusions white ink to the page. The dropper makes it easier to control the ink and the splashes.

I love using flair as embellishments. To create these subtle circles I freehand drew them with a glue pen, then sprinkled clear embossing powder over them. I like the effect a lot.

These Thickers are so much fun! The stitching effect inspired the "stitching" I added to the page with the white pen. I wish I had another set of these Thickers!

I used the last of my Jillibean buttons on this layout. I adore them! I may have to get some more. Again, I created a subtle circle with glue and embossing powder.

Thank you for looking at my layout. Please leave me some blog love and let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
